Terret Sauvignon
A wine with a strong southern accent... This blend of Terret and Sauvignon surprises with its delicate yet generous style. Expressive bouquet of orchard fruit and boxwood. Fresh and flavourful on the palate, with appetising notes of citrus fruit and white flowers, and a hint of spice.
Grape : 55 % Terret Bourret, local grape variety (most of it around the «bassin de Thau» ) and original base wine for Vermouths (cooked wines like Noilly Prat), 45% sauvignon blanc.
Soil : Silty and volcanic.
Vinification: Mechanical harvest by night.
Yeasting with neutral yeast
Fermentation betwin 15 and 20°c
Yield: 60 hL/ha
Pressing : Pneumatic pressing with press-juice separation..
Service temperature : Chilled 8-12 °C
At table : For a truly exquisite experience, enjoy with some
red mullet fillets.
Pinot Noir Grenache
This bold blend of Pinot Noir and Grenache has a holiday feel to it! Beautiful, bright colour. The fruity attack is reminiscent of redcurrant jelly. Yummy! Silky, delicate and refreshing on the palate. In other words, a rosé to help solve the world’s problems as the sun goes down.
Grape : 55% Pinot Noir, Burgundian grape variety
« Mediterranean style » very early which we harvest around august 15-20, 45 % grenache noir «king» of the rosés grape variety.
Soil : Volcanic.
Vinification: Mechanical harvest by night.
Yeasting with neutral yeast
Fermentation betwin 15 and 20°c
Yield: 60 hL/ha
Pressing : Pneumatic pressing with press-juice separation..
Service temperature : Chilled 8-12 °C
At table :Serve with a sea bream tartare drizzled with olive oil for a marriage made in heaven.
Marselan Syrah
Offering substance and sweet flavours, this Marselan blended with a southern Syrah is an easy-going companion. A powerful bouquet of blackcurrants, candied liquorice and chocolate invites us to a dance... The pace rapidly picks up, as the palate reveals delicious notes of blackcurrants and blackberries.
Grape : 65% Marselan, pure languedoc grape variety

Cabernet sauvignon and Grenache, 35% Syrah
Soil : Volcanic.

Fermentation betwin 20 and 30°c

Service temperature : At room temperature. 16-18°c
At table : As an accompaniment, we recommend duck
with olives and some Pardailhan black turnips.

Colombard "Tender"
Here are two happy accomplices from the vineyard. Be warned, this merry pair are joyful yet serious, reserved and then generous, they are full of life... like a good wine. This Colombard is smooth and expressive, with just he right amount of sweetness. Very appealing with its pale straw colour, nose of yellow fruit and citrus, and lively flavourful, palate. In short, a voluptuous thirst-quenching delight, perfect to start the evening!
Soil :Gravelly-clay soil.

Cold maceration on the lees
Yield: 60 hL/ha
Pressing : Pneumatic pressing after maceration on the skins

Marselan "Tender"
Marselan? What a delightful surprise...a rosé structured around the expression of the fruit! Wait no longer to discover this medley of red fruit (strawberry, pomegranate, raspberry), underlaid by tenderness and elegance. With just the right amount of generosity, ripe but lively, the palate offers a magical combination of crispness and an impeccably smooth and delicious feel. A moment of grace to share!

Merlot sulphites free

And they are naked! This Merlot is sulphite-free and proud of it: bursting with fruit, spices and the freshness of the garrigue. Let yourself be transported by powerful flavours of fresh cherries and delicious red fruit accompanied by refined tannins. A gourmet choice to start a meal.

Grape : 100 % Merlot
Soil : Gravelly-clay soil
Harvest : Mechnical
Vinification: Traditional vinification (gentle extraction,
maceration for 12 days)
This wine is produced without the addition of sulphites, before or after fermentation. All transfers are made with no exposure to air, in a nitrogen atmosphere. Light fining as necessary, tangential filtration (fine filtration) to ensure that the wine keeps well. Final analysis by the "Frantz Paul" method. This wine contains zero sulphites.
Yield: 75 hL/ha
Service temperature :Room temperature, 16-18°C
At table : Would go very well with a chicken curry, with spices, coconut milk and fresh coriander, accompanied by seasonal roast vegetables: pumpkin, courgette or aubergine, and perhaps some broad beans for a little crunch.

Our wine cellar at Preignes le Vieux has been open again since 11th May!
To ensure your visit and wine-tasting experience is within current health measures, our team is committed to respecting all protective steps necessary, as well as:
– Ensuring all of our staff wear a mask
– Providing you with hydroalcoholic gel at the entrance and exit of the store to disinfect your hands
– Creating an entry-exit circulation flow in our sales area
– Ensuring social distancing by offering guided tours for up to 10 people and wine-tasting events with space maintained between participants.
– Restricting the number of customers in the cellar, limited to 10 people.
– Providing a disposable wine-tasting kit and an individual spittoon for each person
– Disinfecting the wine-tasting area and equipment after each visit
– Encouraging contactless payment by banker’s card or systematically disinfecting the cash desk area between customers
– Providing disinfection areas after use of trolleys, the petanque area and children’s play area

Depuis le 11 mai le caveau de Preignes le Vieux est ouvert à nouveau !
Afin de vous garantir une expérience de visite et de dégustation dans les mesures sanitaires en vigueur, notre équipe s’engage à respecter les gestes barrières, mais aussi:
– Port du masque obligatoire pour le personnel
– Désinfection des mains en entrée et sortie du magasin gel hydroalcoolique à votre disposition
– Installation d’un sens de circulation entrée et sortie de notre espace de vente
– Des dégustations espacées entre chaque personne.
– Proposer un kit de dégustation jetable et un crachoir par personne
– Désinfection de l’espace dégustation et du matériel après chaque visite
– Privilégier les paiements par carte bancaire sans contact ou à défaut désinfecter le matériel de caisse entre chaque personne
